William E. Wilcox Sr

William E. Wilcox, Sr., age 83, of Alliance, passed away at 11:50 a.m. Monday, September 14, 2015, at his home.
He was born July 5, 1932 in Deerfield to Melvin and Mildred (Brock) Wilcox.
A 1950 graduate of Goshen High School, Bill worked for 37 years and retired as a supervisor from Alliance Machine Co.
He was a Korean War veteran, proudly serving in the U.S. Army's 45th Division.
Survivors include his children, Sandra (Keith) Custer of Perrysburg, Sandy (Robert) Snyder of North Canton, Ohio, William Edward (Rose) Wilcox Jr., of Alliance, Sherry Cioci (Chris Erchick) of Alliance and James Wilcox of Alliance; nine grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Marjory (Kuklo) Wilcox, whom he married June 25, 1966 and who passed away May 21, 2005; daughter, Susan Stanley; grandson, Tyler B. Custer; and his brother, Norman Wilcox.
Services will be held at 3 p.m. Friday, September 18, 2015 at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home. Friends may call one hour prior to the service. Interment will be at Fairmount Memorial Park.
