William Paul Wiley
William Paul Wiley, age 74, of Minerva, passed away at 9:12 p.m., Friday, May 24, 2013, at Mercy Medical Center.
He was welcomed into this world on October 3, 1938, in Steubenville, Ohio and loved by Peter and Mary (Rice) Steed.
A U.S. Army veteran, William retired from General Motors and was a member of the United Auto Workers union. He also enjoyed fishing, woodworking and playing euchre.
Survivors include his companion, Ruth Robinson, of Minerva; children, Mary (Gary) Manist, of New Port Ritchie, FL, Paul Wiley and Fred (Lynda) Wiley, both of Rockhill, SC, Sharon (Robert) Whitaker, of Peninsula, Ohio, Benjamin (Candy) Wiley, of Leetonia Ohio and Kathleen (Mike) Jarvis, of Alliance; 28 grandchildren; one great grandchild; three sisters, Martha (Charlie) Harton of Sebring, Karen (Gerald) McKay, of Hanoverton, Ohio and Twila (Jim) Grindle of New Alexander, Ohio; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife Diane (Betz) Wiley, who passed away in 1997; and three brothers, Peter 'Tadpole' Steed, Fred Steed and Tom Steed.
Services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Thursday, May 30, 2013 at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home with Bishop Steve Wait officiating. Friends may call from 5-8 p.m. Wednesday, May 29, 2013 at the funeral home.
