William L. Wilson

William Lester "Bill" Wilson, age 80, of Homeworth, passed away at 7:00 p.m., Thursday, June 30, 2016, at his home.
He was born April 27, 1936, in Ravenna, Ohio and has lived in the Alliance vicinity for 75 years.
Bill was an Alliance High School graduate and employed at PTC of Alliance for 46 years.
He was a member of Middle Sandy Presbyterian Church, Sleepy Hollow Golf Club, the VFW of Alliance and the Romanian Club.
Bill loved golfing, hunting, fishing and skiing and enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He was a veteran of the United States Army.
Survivors include his wife, Bonnie Kay (Freeman) Wilson whom he married March 16, 1964; daughter, Sherry (Dave) Blosser, their children Bob, Brent and Ashley and grandchildren of Canton; daughter, Traci (Scott) Finnegin, their children, Meghan and Johnny McGary and grandchildren, Christen, Junior and Steven Finnegin of Homeworth; daughter, Terry (Travis) Hoy of Waynesboro, Virginia; son, Billy (Shelley) Wilson and their children, Mya, Landon and Macy of Homeworth.
In addition to Bill's parents, he is preceded by his brother, Chuck Wilson.
Services will be held at 3:30 p.m. Sunday, July 3, 2016, at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home with Marty CashBurless officiating. Friends may call from 2 p.m. to 3:30 p.m., prior to the service.
