William “Dick” Clark, age 86, of Alliance passed away Saturday, January 25, 2020 at the Community Care Center in Alliance.
He was born November 17, 1933, in Alliance to William and Florence (Lehman) Clark.
Dick graduated from Alliance High School in 1951. He worked at B & W Tubular for 43 years before retiring in 1994. Dick was very involved in Alliance Hot Stove Baseball for over 40 years as coach and on the board of directors. He was the recipient of several Cy Butler Awards and was also awarded a Certificate of Achievement from the State of Ohio General Assembly for all his efforts with the Alliance Hot Stove Baseball Organization.
Survivors include his wife of 67 years, Dorothy (Fox) Clark, whom he married on September 6, 1952; children, Sherry (Denny) Stowe, Karen Kirkpatrick (Denny Brunner), Rick (Becky) Clark; grandchildren, David (Melanie) Stowe, Bryan (Kelly) Stowe, Chad (Diane) Church, Kevin Clark, Jason Clark; eight great-grandchildren; brother, John (Judy) Clark.
Dick was preceded in death by his parents William and Florence Clark.
Services will be held at 12:30 p.m., Wednesday, January 29, 2020 at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home. Friends may call from 11 a.m. -12:30 p.m., prior to the service. Interment will be at Highland Memorial Park.
The family wishes to thank Community Care, Aultman Alliance Hospice and DeVita Alliance Community Dialysis for their loving care of Dick.
