Longtime Alliance resident and former School Teacher, Willimae R. Tripp passed away Sunday September 19, 2004 at her home in Aurora, Ohio. She was 91 years of age.
Mrs. Tripp taught elementary school and Sight Saving Classes in Alliance for 17 years. She was honored as a "Volunteer of the Month" for her services at Alliance Community Hospital, and was past president of the Women's Organization at the First United Presbyterian Church. She was a member of the Alliance Women's Club, AARP, Delta Kappa Gamma, and the Ohio retired Teacher's Association.
She is survived by her husband and partner of 68 years Robert W. Tripp; four daughters Tanya (David) Shively of Aurora, Marcia Siedel of Rocky River, Linda (William) Meiter of Leesburg, Florida and Cheryl (David) Hacker of Dayton; seven grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, one sister Alice Porter of Indiana and one brother, Rev. Edward Renegar of Virginia.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister Mildred Welsh.
A private family service was held today at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home with Pastor Kevin Horak officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Salvation Army, Alliance Citadel, 57 W. Main St. Alliance, Ohio 44601, or the charity of the donor's choice.
