Wilma May Daniels, age 84 of Alliance, died at 9:45 a.m. Saturday April 29, 2006.
She was born May 18, 1921 in Sebring, Ohio to Herbert A. Detchon and Ohno (Jackson) Detchon-Shank and was a lifelong area resident.
A 1939 graduate of Sebring High School, Mrs. Daniels enjoyed sewing, and was self-employed as a dressmaker and tailor for more than 30 years. She was a member of Union Avenue United Methodist Church for over 55 years.
Survivors include her children Kim David Daniels of Randolph, New York, Lynn Ann (Ron) Dezenzo of Alliance, and Rhys Gordon (Bernarda) Daniels of Burke, Virginia; one foster daughter; eight grandchildren; four foster grandchildren; two great grandchildren, and two brothers, Harold Detchon of Sebring, and Herbert Detchon of Alliance.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Marvin L. "Jack" Daniels, whom she married Dec. 25, 1939, and who died in 1996.
A Memorial Service will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home with Rev. Gordon Ruggles officiating. Friends may call one hour prior to the service. Interment will be at Deerfield Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to donor's choice.
