Wilma (Powelson) Marteney, age 82, formerly of Beloit, passed away at 9:15 p.m. Friday, August 9, 2013, in Sugar Grove, OH.
She was born September 22, 1930, in Anapolis, Ohio, to Willard and Jessie Powelson.
A member of the Ohio Eastern Star Palmy Chapter No. 114, Wilma retired from the Genie Company in 1992.
Survivors include her sons, Mark Marteney of Orlando, FL, Frank Marteney of Rockbridge, OH and Miles Marteney of Orlando, FL; daughter, Linda Sprandel of PA; seven grandchildren; and many loving great grandchildren, with more on the way.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Orestus; and son, John.
Services will be held at 5 p.m. Thursday, August 15, 2013, at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home. Friends may call from 3 to 5 p.m. prior to the service. Interment will be at Alliance City Cemetery.
