Wilma Mae Simmons, age 94, of Alliance, passed away at her home at 5:55 a.m. Friday, August 31, 2012.
She was born April 20, 1918 in Bellsville, Ohio to Jim and Arminta (Brock) Milligan.
A 1936 graduate of Bellsville High School, Wilma was a member of Tri-County Church of Christ in Beloit.
Survivors include her sons, Henry (Barbara) Simmons of Alliance, and Roger Simmons of Dayton; six grandchildren, five great- grandchildren and two great-great- grandchildren; sister, Gloria Miller of Bellsville; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Wiley Oscar Simmons, whom she married in December 1941, and who died 32 years ago; sister, Alice Stell; brother, Harry Milligan; sister-in-law, Sara Milligan and daughter-in-law, Lorna Simmons.
Services will be held at the Tri-County Church of Christ at noon Tuesday, September 4th with Pastor Terry Kirsch officiating. Friends may call two hours prior to the service at the church. Interment will be at Highland Memorial Park.
