Wylie G. Anderson, age 79, of Alliance passed away at 6:45 a.m. Wednesday, May 27, 2009 at his home.
He was born August 26, 1929 in Cross Creek, Pennsylvania to Wylie Guy and Manie (Walker) Anderson.
Wylie was employed by Fluharty Construction and was a hard worker all of his life. He was a loving father and grandfather.
Survivors include his son, William S. Anderson of Alliance; his daughter, Ada (Al) Mayle of Hartville; two grandchildren, Lisa (Dan) Schultz and Julian (Heather) Mayle; three great-grandchildren, Tyler and Katelyn Mayle, and Conner Schultz; and sisters, Bertha Mull of Weirton, West Virginia and Margaret (Bill) Baker of Aliquippa, Pennsylvania.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Viola Anderson whom he married March 10, 1949 and who died December 10, 2006; brothers, Charles Anderson, Jim Anderson and Robert Anderson.
Services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Monday, June 1, 2009 at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home with Dan McCurdy of First United Presbyterian Church officiating. Friends may call from 2-4 p.m. and 6-9 p.m. Sunday. Interment will be at Highland Memorial Park.
