Zolie E. Warner, age 74 of Alliance, died at his home Monday morning, June 21, 2004.
He was born June 9, 1930 in Cherry Grove, West Virginia to Robert J. and Masel (Mullinex) Warner.
Mr. Warner moved with his family to Alliance as a young boy, and, in 1998 moved back after working in Maryland.
He was employed at B&W Rush Street Operation as a crane operator for 11 years, then worked as a crane operator at Morgan Engineering for 18 years before working as a Manager at Springwood Apartments in Austintown for 4 ? years. He then worked for the RAL Company, managing apartments in Frederick, Maryland.
Mr. Warner was a U.S. Army Korean War veteran, and member of the Limaville Lions Club, and Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie #2199 of Minerva. He was an outdoorsman, who enjoyed fishing, gardening, and hunting.
He is survived by his wife, Bonnie J. Benedict Warner, whom he married June 25, 1955, daughters Beth Ann Kimble of Upper Tract, West Virginia, and Kathryn J. (Michael) Warner-Stebner of Brimfield; three grandchildren Wesley Kimble, Nicholas Kimble and Kelly Kimble, all of West Virginia.; one brother Jack (Freda) Warner of Glendale, Arizona, and one sister Eldora (William) Vance of Alliance, and his beloved pet Sadie.
He was preceded in death by his parents, sisters Leona Hartman and Virginia Vance, and brother Garland Warner.
Services will be held at 8:00 p.m. Thursday at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home. Friends may call from 6-8 p.m. Thursday.
