Georgeta Barcutian

Georgeta Barcutian, age 74, of Alliance, passed away at her daughter’s home in Hudson, Ohio at 10:23 a.m. Monday, March 20, 2023.

She was born January 31, 1949 in Fagaras, Romania to Miron Cornea and Mary Cornea.

Georgeta graduated from the Timisoara Conservatory. She was a professional musician in Romania before moving to the United States.

Georgeta and her husband Lee were the owners of the former Eatin Haus Restaurant. She was a member of St. George Byzantine Church.

She is loved and missed by her family, including her husband, Liviu “Lee” Barcutian, whom she married August 23, 1970; daughter, Antonella (Michael) O’Brien; grandsons, Declan and Cormac O’Brien; sister, Lucy (Dr. Romeo) Craciun;  nephew, Dr. Raymond (Morgan) Craciun, and niece, Maureen (Dr. John) Cleator.

Georgeta was preceded in death by her parents.

Calling hours will be Friday, March 31st at 6:30-8:30 p.m. with Saracusta at 7:30 p.m. at St. George Romanian Byzantine Catholic Cathedral in Canton.

Funeral services will he held on Saturday, April 1st at 10:00 a.m. at the church with Most Rev. Bishop John Michael Botean, Very Rev. Ovidiu Marginean, Very Rev.  Iuliu Muntean, and Very Rev. Calin Tamian BCC officiating.

Interment will be at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Alliance followed by a memorial meal at St. George Romanian Byzantine Catholic Cathedral in Canton.
